Senate Resolution.

Just say no.
Just say support the troops.

Neither will succeed unless something is either not done or actually done, rather that just saying.

After that the rest of the words are important too. The obvious difference being if you are also saying that supporting the president is supporting the troops. Then even the saying is once removed from anything or even nothing being done.

That is my "post-emptive" take on an airing of the recent failure in the Senate to vote on a resolution, for which I have not attached a link. But here are signs of progress from 7 Republicans.

By the way, another speaking out of class or beyond my pay grade which for these matters is zilch, but I believe that contrary to the above thinking the Republicans are actually getting things not done by not talking. I believe that by requiring a cloture* vote they are actually filibustering a vote, possibly without the talk. But of course it is more complicated than that, and of course political. Surprise, surprise. The irony is that the Democrats have agreed to debate some resolutions and the one they disagree with hearing is redundant and all of them non-binding, except to the effect on the war and the purse, which is their job.

*cloture is not the word here but Senate Rules that apparently require 60 votes under some circumstances or that they cannot even agree on them
